Welcome to School for Environment – our ambition
is to make environmental training, and the job opportunities it can bring,
available to everyone in Sheffield.
From this website you can link directly to the training providers to find
out what courses are currently on offer. There is also information on voluntary
work opportunities, job vacancies and our commitment to ensuring Sheffield’s
Black and Ethnic Minority communities are represented in the environmental
sector.
Environmental training covers a variety of subjects providing for a wide
range of different needs – you might want to open up new career prospects;
expand your knowledge; develop a hobby or become a volunteer. Opportunities
include learning how to grow food organically at Heeley City Farm, dry stone
walling in the Peak District National Park or building your own solar water
heater at South Yorkshire Energy Centre.
